Common Questions about Cannabis Edibles

Mon Nov 16 2020

Edible marijuana products have exploded in popularity in recent years. Edibles provide the same great benefits of other marijuana products without the need to smoke or vaporize flower or concentrates. These products come in a variety of products including baked goods, gummies, drinks, and infused cooking oil which can be used to add the benefits of marijuana to essentially any meal.

Why Edibles?

Many of our customers at The Cannabis Depot prefer consuming cannabis in an edible form since it eliminates respiratory issues associated with smoking. Edibles typically offer a slightly different “high” that some users describe as more intense and longer lasting than the high achieved from smoking.

How long do edibles last?

The high achieved from edibles typically lasts much longer than the high from smoking or vaping. Many users will feel the effects of an edible for as much as 6 – 8 hours.

Since the THC from an edible is entering your blood stream through the digestive system, personal factors such as diet, metabolism, weight, and tolerance can have an impact on your experience.

When will they kick in?

Edibles typically take 30-60 to kick in depending on the concentration of THC and your own digestive system. There is no reason to worry if you do not immediately feel the effects of your edible.

How much should you take?

Edible products will list the serving size and THC content on the packaging. Typically a product will list a "per-serving" THC content and a "per-package" THC content. If it is your first time taking an edible product it is always best to start small and work your way up to your perfect dose.
